The suit shown is designed for one person to enter without assistance.
Air Line Entry: The airline access can be located at the back of the head or at the side of the body. The current positioning of the airline at the back of the head allows pressurized air to cool the users face and to keep perspiration from beading. It is the users choice of what type of airline adapter is installed since this will vary from country to country.
Filtered Vents: To allow air to escape and minimize the "ballooning" of the suit, filtered air vents using individual polypropylene spunbond, meltblown and spunbond layers are located at the back (2 places) and at the head. The meltblown layer acts as a filter preventing particles from entering the suit. The filtered vents have proven to be effective and as an option NIOSH respirators can be used as well.
Hood With Visor: The hood is designed for the wearer's comfort and in reality is a hood within a hood. The inner portion of the hood resembles a standard clean room hood. Knit fabric is provided at the neck area to impart comfort and to prevent chafing. The inner hood is held in place by a Velcro attachment to the main hood.
The primary hood has the airline hook-up at the rear of the head that is baffled to prevent direct airflow onto the users neck. A fog free polyester face shield is sewn at the front. The hood is secured to the suit by 2 zippers that form a "V" down to the chest area and it is further secured to the suit by 2 snaps. An adjustable neckband secures the inner hood around the users neck by 3 snap buttons.
Body: The body of the suit is a standard cut. Knit cuffs are standard for the suit. The ankles during suit-up are secured by snap buttons to the legs to prevent the ankles from touching the floor.
